About
Dr. Randolph Whitford
Dr.
Whitford has practiced Ophthalmology
in the Houston and Katy area since
1981. He remains active
academically, teaching young eye
surgeons at Baylor College of
Medicine. He has also held office in
the Harris County Medical Society
and hospital staff groups as well as
chairing a number of committees.
He
graduated from the University of
Texas at Austin and the University
of Texas Medical School at San
Antonio. Dr. Whitford completed his
training, both internship and
Ophthalmology residency at Baylor
College of Medicine in Houston. He
is board certified in Ophthalmology
by the American Board of
Ophthalmology.
Dr.
Whitford also serves as clinical
assistant professor of Ophthalmology
at Baylor College of Medicine. He
is a member of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology, the Texas
Ophthalmological Association, the
Houston Ophthalmological
Association, and the Harris County
Medical Society.
Dr.
Whitford clinical interests include:
LASIK Laser vision correction,
Cataract Surgery,
Glaucoma surgery and treatment,
Strabismus repair, Management of
Diabetes related eye disease,
treatment of traumatic eye injuries
and general eye care.
Family & Interests
Dr.
Whitford shares his office with his
wife, Dahlia Guzman, D.D.S. Dr.
Guzman provides general dental care
to the Katy community. They have
three children who were Katy ISD
graduates currently pursuing careers
in college. Dr. Whitford is
also a member of the Houston
Sinfonietta. He serves as their
principal Cellist.
Community Involvement
Dr.
Whitford works with the
Benevolent Missions International,
a charitable organization that
provides eye care and eye surgery to
needy regions of the world. Dr.
Whitford has worked in El Salvador
and Bolivia in recent years. |
